  • Social expectations of being the perfect parent can be overwhelming. It’s common to feel useless over the thought of not being able to cope with your new responsibilities, or hopeless when the natural motherly feelings you expected aren’t present. Women and men across all socio-economic backgrounds can experience mood and anxiety changes leading up to or following the birth of a child. The all-consuming despair can strain your relationships, and isolate you further. Most new parents are not even diagnosed, because they postpone reaching out to others, out of fear of having their child taken away. You are the safest place for your child, and they need you. I will help you see the other side and help you build a meaningful connection with your support system in an otherwise isolated time.
